In the world of economics, we always talk about profit, growth and speed. Antonio Fossati, professor of economics and consultant to major companies around the world, believes that man also needs time and space to devote to himself, finding his own inner peace.
Originally from Meride, he knows the magic of this medieval village at the foot of the woods of Monte San Giorgio (a UNESCO heritage site for its fossils) and wanted to reopen the old Locanda San Silvestro to offer guests the harmony of a boutique hotel with terracotta vaults, columns and stone loggias dating back to the 18th century: an architectural jewel furnished with refinement and design. The hostess Alessia Franci, manager of the inn, contributes to the wellness experience with her husband Ambrogio Stefanetti, a starred chef who creates menus based on fresh, local products.
The Locanda is a great place to stay even in the low season, taking time out in front of the old fireplace, in the sunshine of the ancient courtyard overlooking the valley and the rooftops of the village, or on the terrace at sunset.
