The magazine Reserve dedicates an article to the central street of the village, which overlooks many front doors, impossible not to notice, concealing beautiful internal courtyards, the true place of life of this ancient village of Meride. A few metres from the Fossil Museum, which houses the heritage making this area of Monte San Giorgio a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the doorway to the Locanda San Silvestro. The Locanda, which has always been a place of hospitality, was reopened after being closed for a few years at the behest of its owners, who are originally from Meride and very fond of this place. They desired to create a special place to welcome guests, a Hotel de Charme where they could remember the territory and the architectural elements of Ticino while offering guests a space of beauty, peace and regenerating silence. The Locanda offers many experiences to enjoy the territory through the managers of this corner almost out of this world. An oasis of rediscovered time.
