In Meride in the Canton of Ticino, a professor of economics, who was born in this town and fell in love with it, embarked on a somewhat crazy adventure: renovating and reopening a historic inn that had been in the centre of the medieval town for over 10 years. It seemed like madness, not to be recommended to any client or student, but with the support of his wife, the village, but above all the banks, he managed to renovate the old stone building from the 18th<\/sup> century, rich in history and with a magical charm, creating a small boutique hotel with 7 special rooms and a restaurant with a starred chef.<\/p>\n

The Locanda San Silvestro is a place of great calm, serenity and peace, surrounded by woods of chestnut and beech trees, where you can immerse yourself in nature and rediscover yourself on walks with spectacular views towards the Gotthard or Lombardy.<\/p>\n
