As Nadia Lupi, director of the Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio tourist organisation, tells us, the Locanda is a project that has been followed with great interest because it is in tune with the desire to make people discover that southern Switzerland does not end in Lugano, that three quarters of the Mendrisiotto area is covered in wonderful woods and lush vineyards. It is a place rich in history that is waiting to be discovered. The Locanda was born out of an act of love by its owners for Meride and for this enchanted corner of Ticino and is a place of great care and hospitality thanks to the management of Alessia Frangi and the cuisine prepared by Ambrogio Stefanetti.
